Rules
1. The age limit is 18. If you can prove your maturity, we may accept a few years younger.
2. No OOC drama. If you have any problems or issues with anyone, contact one of the mods.
3. Please use proper grammar and spelling. Typos are forgivable in moderation; but if we see you constantly spelling things incorrectly or using improper punctuation/grammar, you will be asked to use spell check.
4. No god-modding. No controlling other people's characters without their permission. This includes but is not limited to speaking for them, writing out their reaction to something, reading their thoughts, assuming something about their looks/thoughts/actions/etc., or making references to something that your character has no way of knowing. It's pretty simple; Play your character and no one else's. The only excuse for this is if your character has a power that involves it, such as puppet mastery.
5. We accept any characters that would reasonably exist in the setting. The Founders, obviously, and others such as Ishi Nakamura. Characters traveling from the future to the past, such as Hiro, are not allowed.
6. Please be active! This means posting at the very least once a week. If you’re going on hiatus, let us know!
7. When it comes to PBs portraying younger versions of certain characters, no one expects miracles. But we do expect at least a passing resemblance to their older version. Zac Efron is not going to be playing Maury Parkman anytime soon. On the subject of PBs, the following are banned:
High School Musical cast
Camp Rock cast
Twilight cast
Paris Hilton
Kim Kardashian
Jared Padalecki
Jeffrey Dean Morgan
Myspace kids
Dead PBs
8. We will be limiting the following powers:
Time Travel (1 player)
Power Empathy (2 players)
Power Theft (2 players)
Rapid Cell Regeneration (3 players)
Telekinesis (3 players)
Power Empathy that takes only one power at a time through touch will be more freely available.
FAQs
What year is this set in Heroes-verse?
It's set in 1977, when the members of the Company first come together.
So there are no canon characters besides the Company Founders?
For the most part, no. However, there are certain characters that fit into the time-line that we'd love to see. Kaito's wife Ishi Nakamura, for example, not to mention Charles' wife, Nana Dawson, Paulette Hawkins and others. Mostly, though, we'd love to see a plethora of original characters to either oppose or be apart of the fledgling Company.
Were the specific details of how the Company began ever discussed on the show?
In little slices of information, yes, a little. Maury states that they all 'just found each other'. From what we can put together from the graphic novels, the ones who truly started everything were Adam Monroe and Daniel Linderman. Adam found Linderman, and Linderman went to his old Vietnam 'war buddy' Arthur Petrelli, who was married to Angela Petrelli and so on.
How much will canon influence the storyline?
The truth is, the early days of the Company aren't overly detailed in Heroes canon. It's doubtful it will ever be explored in greater detail on the show, as Volume Two 'Generations' was all about the founders. Any further canon shown on the show that contradicts with the RPG will be disregarded if there is no other option.
